Not long: Baclofen is a muscle relaxant primarily used for muscle spasm in Multiple Sclerosis and spinal injury. It is not used in rheumatic diseases and ordinary causes of muscle spasm. It is excreted primarily intact by the kidneys. With normal renal function it should be largely excreted in 24 hours. If taken for a long period it must be tapered slowly.
