A member asked:

Is it ok to go to the hospital to get treated for bacterial vaginosis if the rephresh doesn't work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No hurry: Bacterial vaginosis can be treated on out pt basis , no need to go to hospital. Please call your primary care doctor , or try to make an appointment in 1-2 days to get antibiotics. Also so to prevent future recurrence - DO NOT Do vaginal douching, try to change pads every 2-3 hrs when you are in period. Cranberry juice is helpful too.
