I have a 3 month old baby who has "cradle cap" on his scalp. what's the solution?

Scrub: Cradle cap in infants is very common. Good vigorous scrubbing of the scalp when shampooing the hair will help resolve the problem.. Also good brushing with a hair brush will help. If it is really bad and nothing seems to help your pediatrician can prescribe a cream to help. It is not usually needed however.

Dandruff shampoo: Cradle cap builds up when the old skin flakes of the scalp are anchored to the skin by skin oils that act like glue. Normal tear free baby shampoos do not have the chemicals needed to loosen these flakes.Application of dandruff shampoo, keeping it out of the eyes, will gradually help.Gently teasing the flakes loose with a cuticle brush speeds the process.
