Why does my 2 month old baby boy keeps getting cradle cap? i put coconut oil on his scalp and gently massage it with the baby frida brush but days later he still gets more?

Cradle cap is just dead skin flakes that would shed naturally if not for natural skin oils that retain them. Baby shampoos do not contain the chemicals in dandruff shampoos that loosen the bonds between & promote shedding. Such chemicals can irritate the eyes. You can oil to soften thick areas/cover with a heat wrap & then strip all areas with careful use of dandruff shampoo. Then stop the oil.

The application should be followed by a gentle shampoo. Avoid leaving the oil on the scalp for too long. Try this daily for one week, after discussion with your pediatrician. Watch for signs of infection.
