Precocious puberty: If you child is only eight, her periods are not normal. She needs to be seen ASAP by pediatric endocrinologist

Period at 8?: If she is having periods at age 8, she should see a doctor to be checked for a hormonal problem that could be causing this. Usually, periods do not start till age 11 or 12. Good luck!
