How long does it take for a child`s thigh bone fracture to regain full strength?

Pediatric femur: Depends on location and type of fracture. Depends, too, on whether the fracture is fixed operatively or nonoperatively. A nondisplaced fracture that is treated in a cast may take at least 7-8 weeks to fully heal. A transverse fracture, with less bony contact may take longer.
