Professional Fees: It is so hard to comment on someone else's fees as explained through the eyes of the patient. If some aspect of your prosthesis needed to be customized for your specific mouth and smile, then I see no problem charging an additional fee for additional time and materials. There are other costs that need to be factored into the equation.

It is appropriate: especially that dentist disclosed the fee before performing the procedure, letting you have a freedom of choice. For a fraction of the cost (only $440) extra you will get one of the best, most lifelike premium teeth, long lasting teeth. The material in custom teeth is strong and designed to mimic the gradual wear of natural tooth enamel, for less wear and longer tooth life. Congratulation!

Every case differs: It all depends on several things. The way the teeth come together,or bite, may require the lab to need to add metal teeth to your partial which increases costs. The best thing to do is ask.

Fee appropriate: Its amazing the difference in the quality of the high end denture teeth. they look very natural and wear much better than the "standard" teeth. Using the best teeth can add that much to a denture case

Likely, ask: IPN ?: The fee for the partials is low to moderate depending on where you live and who is providing the treatment. Much depends upon how many teeth there are on the partials and where they are. Also, what is meant by "custom Teeth". I suspect it means "Premium" teeth. Teeth can cost as little as $15 for 14 "economy" teeth and as much as $150 for the best. They come in sets, can't get just a few. 2x$150.
