Chronic dysphagia: Chronic dyspepsia (abdominal discomfort) and dysphagia (swallowing difficulty) may be caused by acid reflux among other things. You may need an x-ray of or a scope passed into the stomach to further evaluate this. Check with your doctor on how best to proceed.

Dyspnea: Dyspnea, swallowing problems , GERD symptoms, and abdominal discomfort, all could be related to esophageal diseases. Motility, or esophageal ability to move down the food, could be affected.Hiatal or diaphragm hernia, when the part of stomach could be located in the chest, could bring the dyspnea and abdominal discomfort. Some diseases with same symptoms are scleroderma and diabetes.
