A member asked:

M 23 weeks pregnant. in my usg scan doc found choroid plexus cyst measuring 4 to 7 mm in baby head.is it dangerous for my baby after birth mentally?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Choroid plexus cysts are not necessarily abnormal, and they usually disappear by the third trimester (you are still in your second trimester). 1-2% of people have them after birth (and they're harmless in this case). If your doctor finds other abnormalities though, you should have some genetic testing done on the baby.
