A member asked:

Can ringing in ears that wasn't caused by noise damage take a few months to stop!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinnitus: Ringing in ears is frustrating and drives many patients to antidepressants. Make sure you have an audio gram (hearing test) and ENT eval. Assuming it's not hearing loss related, it may still be one of many things - some curable, some manageable, but many times just tinnitus with no other diagnosis or treatment beyond supportive care. Tinnitus can be permanent.
