Spot in middle of back just to left of spine which used to go numb and tingle sporadically but now gets a stabbing pain sometimes when breathing deep?

Rib head pain: The pain that you describe is similar to inflammation of the rib head at the insertion into the spine. This responds well to chiropractic manipulation, physical therapy and cortisone injections. If the pain persists then an MRI of the thoracic spine may be indicated to evaluate the pain.
