Possibly: Flat feet can cause a lot of foot and ankle pains. However, if you have swelling along the top of your foot, you may have a stress fracture, especially if the pain is gets worse the longer you are on your foot. A good arch support, rest and x-rays to rule out a stress fracture is advised. I hope this helps.
