Yes: The chances are very very low with IUD as birth control method, but it does happen. You can take a pregnancy test if you're worried and it would definitely show if you were pregnant. It's common, however, to have tender breasts wtih the Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD as the Progesterone in the IUD can cause this as a side effect. If you have the copper IUD, then tenderness unlikely to be due to IUD.
