Sure.: It sounds like you are trying to come up with some justification for yourself or someone else smoking in front of your child. There simply is none. Smoking around your child contributes to asthma at the least and potentially cancer.

No: That would be like sitting near a fireplace in the winter, or sitting downwind from the barbecue at a summer picnic... kids will most likely be fine, but keep an eye on them to prevent them from touching hot surfaces.
