Bruise: Elevate head of bed on several pillows propped up when asleep to reduce swelling. Don't sleep flat. Apply ice packs to lip. Take OTC NSAIDs like Motrin or Naproxen to help reduce swelling.

You can't: at least not much. Cold compresses early warm later. Arnica montana. Avoid bending or straining. don't take aspirin, fish oil or other anticoagulants. light aerobic exercise. Minimize talking and try to keep lip still. Light compression.
