Sleep: Keep a regular routine, don't eat or exercise in the evening but do exercise during the day. Listen to calming sleep oriented music to help you relax, meditation is also helpful and most important limiting negative self talk as you get ready for bed. Best

Insomnia/depression: Insomnia and depression commonly overlap. We now know that if get cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia they are also more likely to recover from depression. It is important to understand that if you are not sleeping you are better off getting out of bed. If you need CBT for sleep or depression or both look for someone near you trained in this type of therapy.
