Neonatal diarrhea: There are several causes of diarrhea in infants. Breast fed babies will often have days without a stool or several loose stools every day, and this is perfectly normal. Formula fed babies can develop constipation or diarrhea from changing formulas, or having a sensitivity to something in the formula. Fever, blood, vomiting, weight loss, poor feeding or irritability are very concerning symptoms.
