Yes: A lot of prunes can give you diarrhea and depending on how gout is treated, some medications can cause diarrhea too.

OK in moderation: Some fruits w/ high fructose content may cause flares in sensitive patients, this is not common, suggest limiting amount of prunes you are going to consume. Among foods that are an uncommon cause of gout flares, it is helpful to consume these in moderation rather than completely avoiding the food.
