Depends on type: Arthritis can occur at any age. My youngest patient has been 6 months and my oldest 103.. Arthritis can be inherited, caused by injury or overuse, infection, or a change in the bodies immune system. Arthritis if the spine can also occur in people with psoriasis or inflammatory vowel disease. If you are concerned about the diagnosis see a rheumatologist.
