A member asked:

I have progressing macular puckers that may need surgery. i know this condition is not common. will it be difficult to find an experienced surgeon?

Not difficult: macular pucker (sometimes called epiretinal membrane) is uncommon, but not rare. Most retina surgeons are experienced in doing a vitrectomy with membrane peel (the surgery you would need to correct this). Feel free to ask your retina surgeon how frequently he performs this procedure.
