A member asked:

How to distinguish if lesions are caused by ms on an mri or mri report?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Patterns: The typical MS pattern involves peri-ventricular lesions perpendicular and scattered over different areas of brain. Some might light up on contrast injection. If lesions are in both brain and spinal cord can confirm diagnosis. A spinal tap may also help. Changes on films highly confirmatory
