HIV PCR testing: HIV testing using PCR technology is extremely accurate, infact sometimes 'too accurate' since lab errors can (very rarely) occur if there are even just a few strips of genetic material contaminating another vial. Whatever ur doc is telling u on your lab report, I would tend to trust- unless it just doesn't make sense clinically. Remember all labs have to correlate with what's going on with the pt.
