Known as Stribild: It is also known as Stribild, which contains Elvitegravir, Cobicistat, Tenofovir, Emtricitabine. It is a newer single tablet regimen that is potent and well tolerated. Elvitegravir is a newer Integrase Inhibitor. Cobicistat is a pharmacologic booster, which means it is used to boost the levels of Elvitegravir to an adequate level to fight HIV. Tenofovir and Emtricitabine are in NRTI class.

Depends on genotype: Treatment of HIV depends on the current genotype (plus past genotypes) that provide information about HIV drug resistance. Knowledge about mutations in the reverse transcriptase (rt), protease (pr) genes and sometimes integrase strand transfer inhibitor (insti) resistance help the doctor to determine the best drug regimen. Prior treatment regimens are also taken into consideration.
