How many main type of lipids we have and what each use for ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Jesus Yap answered

At least 6: Depending on their density, size and the Apo proteins they carry, they are the chylomicrons,Very low density and intermediate density lipoprotein, low density and high density lipoproteins, and triglycerides. The cholesterol rich lipids carry the building blocks to make hormones,or repair tissues while triglycerides supply the fuel for body metabolism. The HDL class takes excess chol for disposal.
