A member asked:

What do you advise if m 19 i am forced by by my parents for a counselling session.how to trick the counsellor to think i'm normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don't: If you are normal, why do you have to trick the counselor? The counselor should be able to determine that by themself. If the counselor is experienced and well-trained, s/he will pick up on any inconsistencies you try to express verbally or non-verbally. Participate truthfully. If you're normal, great - you proved your parents wrong. If not, then you get advice from someone other than your parents.
