Drug allergy: What symptoms do you have that you suspect you could have Omnicef (cefdinir) allergy? Medication allergy can range from having hives, skin rashes, cough, difficulty breathing due to bronchospasm, nausea, vomiting to anaphylaxis. Other presentations are skin blistering, a burn-like condition, or inflammation of your liver. We allergist/immunologist are specialized in this condition.

Avoid Omnicef (cefdinir) AND: If you are allergy to Omnicef (cefdinir) you should avoid Omnicef (cefdinir) and other cephalosporin and there is cross allergy with Penicillin and if you need to be treated with either a penicillin or another cephalosporin,you will need to be evaluated by an allergist if you can take those antibiotics
