See allergist: If the swelling is not triggered by a specific food or drug (NSAID such as Advil (ibuprofen) , ACEI etc) and lasts much more than 24 hours without response to antihistamine, you may have a condition known as hereditary angioedema which can be life-threatening. See allergist.
