Heloma: This is a term usually used to refer to the dead skin build up on the joints of the toes at the top of the joint or dorsum. A tyloma is the callous formed on the bottom or plantar aspect of the metatarsal head (s) . There is seldom a callous formed at the dorsum ( top ) of the lesser metatarsal head (s) .

Not really...: Calluses occur on the bottom of the feet while corns (heloma) form on toes. All about symantics.
