Many: There are many treatments for hay fever or allergic rhinitis both over the counter and prescription. Treatments include antihistamine pills, nasal steroid and antihistamine sprays and allergy shots. Over the counter medicines may be suitable for those with mild symptoms but those who do not respond should be evaluated by a specialist to see if other treatments would be more appropriate.
