Placental invasion?: Do you mean what happens when the placenta grows beyond the borders of the uterus? This can be a life threatening condition in pregnancy as can cause damage to organs such as the bladder as well as life-threatening bleeding. Most doctors concerned about this will do extensive imaging to make sure the placenta hasn't invaded surrounding organs.
