To help with pain: Ketamine infusion can be used in the operating room during surgery to decrease the need for narcotics after surgery. It can also be used for complex regional pain syndrome. Ketamine should only be prescribed by physicians who can deal with possible airway complications. Ketamine can cause hallucinations.
