Needs experienced MD: Laser tattoo removal in darker skin requires a lowering of the laser energy ( at times 1/2 or more) and increasing the time between treatments. I prefer a min of 12 weeks and in some cases 20. Black ink is safest but red requires a laser that will likely remove pigment leaving behind lightened skin even white skin where the red ink was. I have an article coming up in urban ink discussing this
