Depends: Depends on many factors this is not a medical question. But having gone through 3 hurricanes there are many factors involved. Best to follow the instructions of the authorities in charge

Survival inHurricane: Every Life is PRECIOUS! It needs to be our commitment to stay SAFE! We should abide by instructions of officials to EVACUATE before Hurricane. Thus, we can save lives!

Hurricanes: That differs with each hurricane. I lived in Cuba during Hurricane Georges, the Naval Base had more solid buildings. We had no significant injuries or deaths. However, many people in the town that is close to the base lived in shacks on the water. They had a number of deaths. Many related to flooding. Many, many factors impact the damage inflicted by a hurricane.
