See your dentist: There are a few various oral pathologies which could cause such symptoms. I can appreciate your concerned about your health, but finding a proper diagnosis and treatment (if needed) may be the answer to your worries. Rec.: see your dentist for examination and diagnosis.

Darker patch: Can't diagnose without examination. Any change in color or texture that does not completely resolve within 14 days of onset requires examination/possible biopsy/ imaging/possible lab tests. If it has been longer than 2 weeks, see your Dentist, an Oral Surgeon, or a Periodontist.
