See your Doctor: There are several potential causes for inter-menstrual bleeding (bleeding between your periods), termed metrorrhagia; most likely due to anovulation (not ovulating). Important factors include if your periods are also heavy and/or last longer than 7 days, and if you are overweight, have diabetes, or a family hx of uterine cancer. SInce you are >35yrs, you will likely need an endometrial biopsy.
