Uncertain.: It's uncertain whether or not strenuous work might cause the symptoms mentioned. However, of concern is mention of the feeling of hopelessness. It might represent significant depression which merits a medical exam and possible treatment. In addition, Aleve (naproxen) and Ibuprofen (NSAIDS) can cause salt retention, stomach ulcers and kidney damage. See a doctor for a thorough history and physical exam.
