Take this seriously: I always take abdominal pain in young children seriously. Possible etiologies range from constipation to acute intussuseption. Diagnosis can be difficult. A combination of history, physical exam, lab, and radiology usually narrows the differential. Due to the possible surgical emergency of acute abdominal pain I recommend a thorough evaluation by a physician ASAP.
