Where is home?: In certain regions of the U.S. tick transmitted Lyme infection is so common that some physicians would advocate antibiotic therapy. A call to your local Medical Society would inform you if you live in such an area, in which case a doctor visit would be sensible. If you don't live in such an area then don't worry. Do check the area for any signs of a local skin infection over the next 48 hours .
