My mom is 58 yr old, she has a severe rt shoulder pain that runs to rt hand. can i use heat pads?.

Possible bursitis: This could be a bursitis of the shoulder with pain radiating down the arm. Intermittent heat or cold applications could be tried. NSAIDS, if she can take them may relieve the inflammation. If pain persists or worsens, have a physician evaluate and treat her.
