If i have pleural effusion should i just finish the course of co-amoxiclav regardless of still having fever or should i be alarmed and go to the er?

See a doctor: It sounds like you have a pleural effusion and are being treated with antibiotics but are still having a fever? If this is correct you should go back to the hospital for consideration of different antibiotics or management of the effusion.

M.D. visit: I agree that you should be seen by your physician. They may order more imaging studies and admit you for a pleural tap.
