How many children are in foster care because their mother has a mental illness?

Why: Does this matter to you? A statistic is not helpful in and of itself. The big picture is more important...Why are there so many people with mental illness? What is happening in society to lead to this? Children in foster care would hopefully all be there because their home environment was not safe at the time. With treatment of mentally ill parent many can be returned home.
