Yes, it could: Cramping and bleeding near term can be the beginning of labor. Its may be "bloody show". Anytime you have bleeding near term its best to go to the hospital and get checked out. Most hospitals that practice obstetrics have a triage area where they can monitory the baby's heart-beat and see if you are having contractions. I would recommend going on in since you are spotting.
