My friend has a water retention during chemotherapy because the leukemia. he has urine retention 0,5-1 liters a day. does he need the lasix (furosemide) therapy?

Edema: If your friend is accumulating water, she needs to speak to the oncologist directing the chemotherapy or her internist to see if diuretic therapy is appropriate in her case. I suspect that it may be needed and only a physician who examines her can make the decision to start her on Lasix (furosemide) or increase its dose. Good luck.
