Ectopic Atrial Tachy: In adults EAT is gen acquired due to weakening heart muscle not responsive to anti-arrhythmic meds. In kids it can be from birth.Tachycardia or increased heart rate is a known symptom of dysautonomia, an autonomic nervous system disorder, which frequently affects heart function also. A complete cardiac check including a holter monitor study will be helpful in figuring out the racing heart.
