See below: Those drugs are used to prevent rejection after kidney transplantation and for lupus nephritis. If you have either of these conditions, the treatment is appropriate. You mention that you smoke. The incidence of heart attack is much increased in these conditions and made much worse by smoking-I urge you to stop.
