Formula feeding: Baby's caloric needs are constant, so if you give pablum with calories, she wiltake less formula. I would just wait an hour or 2 to allow her to get hungry enough.

Bottle first: A kid does not need to begin solids before 6 mo and if so the quantity can be small, a tablespoon or two. A kid that age is growing fast and breast milk or formula offer a better blend of nutrients than any pablum.Waiting until 6 mo and limiting pablum amounts can assure better growth.
