See ENT: UPPP surgery or Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty is a procedure that removes excess tissue in the throat to make the airway wider and usually performed for an obstructive sleep apnea. Before considering surgery, you should see ENT for definitive diagnosis and risks and benfits explanation.

Palate anatomy/mucus: Have you been examined and told your palate anatomy is unusual, or is that a self diagnosis? Have You seen an Orthodontist to evaluate your palate's anatomy? Have you seen an ENT for sinus/throat anatomic evaluation? Have you been evaluated for chronic sinusitis? Have you had proper imaging to determine thickness of hard and soft palate?
