See a rheumatologist: You can see a rheumatologist and have the issue evaluated. There are many causes for an inflammatory arthritis.

Evaluate this immedi: It is hard to answer this question without further details. How long has the finger been swollen? Did this happen after a bite wound or an injury? I would be concerned with a joint infection. If it becomes progressively red, swollen, and painful, I would have this evaluated immediately. If this has been a chronic and ongoing problem, it could indeed represent inflammatory arthritis.
