Absolutely: These symptoms could be consistent with acute HIV along with other infx. Acute HIV infection can cause sore throat, fever, large lymph nodes, muscle aches and pains, and occasionally other symptoms such as hepatitis and rash. You should go to a doctor right away to get tested. It may be too early for an antibody test to be positive, but the virus can be detected directly using PCR-based testing.

Not HIV: It would be very rare for this to represent HIV. Sore throat and fever are not a common symptom of acute HIV infection! But, if you are worried please get in for the appropriate evaluation and testing.
