Finding a diagnosis: Sometimes this can be a challenge. A doctor will test for diseases or infections that are probable, based on your history and physical examination. Often, however, the costs of finding out the diagnosis are prohibitive or just not available as a routine. Therefore, they are just not done. If you have questions about HIV risks- it's good to ask a doctor so as to protect yourself.
